Paerata School - Perseverance. Achievement. Excellence.

Welcome to Paerata School

Kia ora koutou,
There have been three confirmed cases of COVID-19 in South Auckland.
As a result, the Government announced at 7 pm that the whole of Auckland will move from Alert Level 1 to Alert Level 3 for the next 72 hours from midnight tonight.

That means that where possible you should keep your children home from school for this period. We will be open for those of you who have no other options but to send your children to school and we will have safety precautions in place to look after them.

Please read our Paerata School Health and Safety Restrictions at Alert Level 3 here

There is a link within this letter to enrol your child/ren while we are at Alert Level 3 or you can follow this link

First and foremost we want to stay connected to you and your Tamariki. Although this is for a short period, our teachers will be in contact with you via email, Seesaw or Google Classes about our distance learning plan tomorrow morning, as we did when we have been in previous lockdowns.

COVID-19 continues to be a factor we need to consider, and I assure you we have a robust plan and will do everything we need to for your children and your wider family and whānau.

If the situation changes, we will be in touch again. Please contact us if you have any concerns or questions.

Ngā mihi
Luke Thompson

We are a small, semi-rural full primary school in Pukekohe. We provide a platform for quality education, which creates pathways to success for our students with active whanau and community support.

Our vision is to actively prepare each child to be confident, lifelong learners achieving to their full potential.
We have three simple key rules at Paerata:
  • Be Safe
  • Be Respectful
  • Be Responsible

At Paerata School we participate in a range of learning
programmes.  We are a Health Promoting School and a Travelwise School.  We are able to offer the Reading Recovery programme and we have a Mathematics Support Teacher.
